Sue has been working with children with speech and language difficulties for over 25 years. Beginning as a teacher's aide for the Concord Area Special Education Collaborative, she cemented her love of being a member of educational teams. She received her Bachelor's of Science from UMASS, Amherst and her Master's of Science from Emerson College. She was a founding partner at Children's Therapy Associates for nearly 20 years.
Recently, Sue has had the opportunity to work as a Clinical Instructor for Emerson College at the Newton Summer Speech and Language Program through the Graduate Program in Communication Sciences and Disorders. She has found it to be an exciting privilege to be part of the training of graduate level clinicians in the field of speech-language pathology.
Sue's specialty as a pediatric speech language pathologist focuses on articulation, language disorders and social skills. Sue understands how critical communication is to the development of the child and sees first hand how speech and communication development improves lives.
Sue focuses on relationship building, providing a rich foundation that supports parents and motivates children. Her work with children empowers them, which helps them to express themselves and understand their world.
Sue was drawn to Roots & Wings because of its supportive and growth-focused environment. She is a firm believer that when people feel supported, they grow more. She feels that the support at Roots & Wings creates a special environment for anyone who walks through the doors.
