The Labyrinth Roundtable hosted by Cheryl Perreault, provides a forum to learn more about oneself and about our world and its people including topics addressing our creativity, our potential for well-being and inter-being, the science and nature of our planet and our potential to explore spirituality and the mystery of life.
Next, 2/5, speaker Amy (Mevorach) Aster. The title of her talk: "I'll Take the Stairs: What I have learned about going slow and getting where you want to go from my experiences writing a memoir, getting divorced, and raising four children... all at the same time."
ABOUT AMY'S TALK: Sometimes we want to push a button and zoom to another level, but what goes up fast may come down faster, and we may end up back where we started. By taking the stairs, we can take our time and be certain of the direction in which we are going. But how do we keep ascending when we're panting and our legs are tired? Systems of organization have been essential for me in managing complex tasks. I will share these as well as ways to tap into supportive power, employing herbs, poetry, prayer, shamanic journeying, and context-shifting metaphor as a hand rail. -Amy (Mevorach) Aster
Following this talk offered in a TED-style storytelling context within an intimate setting, participants will be invited to engage in a 10 minute contemplative writing exercise which is followed by an opportunity to contribute thoughts, experiences and writing observations.
